Mehri & Skalet represented consumers who purchased a Mercury Marine 2000-2004 2.5L or 3.0L OptiMax Engine. These engines had a problem with either the powerhead and/or direct fuel injection system which had a propensity to cause the engine to cut off or freeze.
Settlement
All members of the class received an extended warranty and/or rebate on their Mercury or QuickSilver Products. Class members who had already paid out-of-pocket on repairs to their direct fuel injection system or powerhead components received additional rebates to compensate for these costs.
