Mehri & Skalet represents correctional officers and other bargaining unit employees of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Council of Prison Locals from across the country in multiple arbitration proceedings against the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons for a variety of wage and hour violations. These alleged violations include failing to compensate employees for performing work before and after their scheduled shifts (portal to portal violations), failing to pay shift differentials, and general contract violations.
