SimplexGrinnell LP

Mehri & Skalet, along with co-counsel, have filed three lawsuits on behalf of current and former fire alarm and sprinkler system workers of SimplexGrinnell LP. These employees allege that they were not paid “prevailing wages” under state law for work on public job sites in a number of states across the country.

One of these cases– Ramos v. SimplexGrinnell LP– is currently being litigated in the United States Court for the Eastern District of New York. Paintiffs are seeking $16 million in damages on behalf of a proposed class of 600 current and former employees.

A similar action is also under way in federal court in New Jersey alleging the same unlawful practices and comparable damages. A third similar action has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

M&S are actively investigating violations of prevailing wage laws by SimplexGrinnell LP and other companies in states throughout the country. If you have worked on public works projects and believe you may have been paid less than “prevailing wage” for your time, please contact us.
