Carbough v. Westinghouse

United States ex rel. Carbaugh v. Westinghouse Hanford Company et al.

Mr. Carbaugh, our Relator, alleges that Westinghouse Hanford Company, and later Fluor Daniel Hanford, Inc. , violated the public trust as the management contractors of the nation's largest nuclear environmental clean-up. The suit alleges that both contractors bilked the federal government by using an accounting system designed to systematically skim millions of dollars out of the clean-up budget. This significant public case seeks to recover over one-quarter of a billion dollars in treble damages and additional penalties on behalf of the United States Treasury.
